Money Back Guarantee from Holly Mann

I have always been wary of scams and fraud, especially on the internet. How can you trust these people who you do not see in flesh? Does seeing their photos enough to trust them? How would you know if those photos are really themselves or just models? How would you know if their rags-to-riches stories are not just drama? What is the integrity of these people? Bottom line, can you really get your money back if the product did not work for you?

I do my research first before I buy online. So when I came across Holly Mann's eBook, I saw her video and thought she looked genuinely honest.

It took me seven days before finally buying Holly Mann’s ebook. It was my first internet venture investment. I bought the ebook on August 16, 2006. On her money back guarantee, it says I have 45 days to refund my payment of $19.97 in case the techniques in the ebook did not work.

Once I got Holly Mann’s ebook, I began working on it. Diligently. Reading every word, doing the techniques, taking the steps that were taught, re-reading the ebook, doing more work, going back to the chapters again, and so forth. I did not waste any time. The ebook got me signing up with a Search Engine Optimization website, signing up for affiliate programs, writing for ezines, joining forums, creating blogs, researching free content libraries, buying a website builder, buying photos from a photo-library website, learning to make a website, and finally publishing my own website. I got so obsessed with it that in a matter of two weeks I got so exhausted. I was four months pregnant at that time.

The lure that made me bought Holly Mann’s website was that I could make money without a website and “right away.” But it was easier said than done. I saw myself spending money and not making it. My investment totaled to $110. With no result and the 45 days running, I wrote Holly Mann to get a refund.

After emailing Holly Mann for the third time, she responded:

In order to issue a refund, according to the refund policy I will need to know which techniques you applied which did not work and how.
If I were to issue a refund I would also need the receipt! Thanks.

After emailing her the receipt, Holly Mann responded:

I'd like to help you - not because I'm desperate not to give you a refund - but because I don't want you to give up on Internet marketing. The forum posting is getting more nad more difficult these days - but if done tactfully and if you find the right forum - it can be very profitable. Your blog idea is ok - but there was only one post and blank links on the side. The most important thing is to start out and find an idea. If you aren't sure - it's impt to know what the people in society are searching for every day. So use wordtracker.com to find out. I find niches on there every time I use the program - even the free version. Then you can create a site (I recommend wordpress instead of blogger) with keyword rich content, adsense ads, affiliate links, etc. and make sure it is properly optimized according to the steps in my ebook. It DOES work - believe me. If you do some research on wordtracker and you want me to look it over and recommend or give advice before you go ahead (if you want to do this that is) then please do so. I dont mind. Just let me know - otherwise I suppose I can give you a refund but I don' t think it is exactly fair because there are so many things from my ebook you could do to start making money. I think it may have been a rough start but I wouldn't give up! Just let me know. Thanks!

The date was August 26, 2006. I did not pursue it again.

About a few weeks later, with my website already running and no traffic at all, I got a letter from Holly Mann offering to make me a website free from Wordpress. I just needed to pay the hosting of $10.00 per month.

I was angry. The email came late—after I had paid for a website builder and a website hosting. Not to mention all the work in learning to create and build my own website. I wrote Holly Mann to delete me from her email list. Three months later, still not having traffic for my website, I totally cancelled my hosting subscription and stopped trying. It was the end of my online money-making career. It was like accepting defeat. But it was okay. It was November 2006, I was seven months on the way and it was a very difficult pregnancy.
